The Dornier 23 was a German bomber that came out in 1935. It was the designation given to the aircraft resulting from a redesign of the Dornier 11 after a failed attempt resulting in the Do 13. The Do 23 finally corrected many of the faults that had plagued the earlier designs but remained of mediocre performance. The type was phased out of service in the German Luftwaffe by the late 30's, replaced by superior designs such as the Heinkel He 111, but it did go on to serve and see action in WW2 in the Czech branch of the Luftwaffe.
